Update: problem still has not been fixed by EBC. If your brake pad seems to be too thick, the actual issue is that the caliper is not entirely pushed in or needs to be cleaned. If you've done this all correctly, IMO I wouldn't have a problem filing a little off the edge of the pad ear that's causing the hang up. Check the fourth picture with just one pad in, the rotor won't track into the caliper.
