Overall Back To The Outback is a charming movie with a fantastic cast that teaches kids about Australian creatures, and why it is important to look inside of someone, and not just at their outside appearance. The animals, unfortunately, get overshadowed by the engaging subplot of their zookeeper and his son who idolizes him. The animated film garnered a variety of awards and nominations which include Best Animated Feature, Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, and a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film. Back to the Outback bears your typical "point A to point B" journey but the script lacks enough oomph in personality to make all the characters and humor feel fleshed out. There is proper development with their relationship but the supporting cast hardly gets to make much of an impression. Sure, they are some of the most deadly creatures in Australia, but they aren't monsters. Once it delves into the emotional abuse Maddie and her buddies get daily, you wholeheartedly root for them to escape. In many ways, this is film teaches basic lessons about family, self-acceptance, honesty and, at least I got this lesson, maybe we humans aren't as smart as we think we are. The One and Only Ivan. The movie is based on the popular PrettyUgly plush toy line by David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim.
The film's plot focuses on a group of hungry critters led by a raccoon as they make their way over a giant hedge to invade suburban homes foraging for food after hibernating. They inadvertently take an adorable baby Koala Bear named Pretty Guy with them. It does it's job and that is to entertain kids, and perhaps teach them something in the meantime. It isn't top notch animation, but it doesn't need to be. Though it might feel overly familiar, Back to the Outback is an endearing and charming animated feature that pays tribute to the continent it's set in while providing an enriching tale of not judging a book by its cover. If that's not enough, Outback took big swings that caught me completely off guard in poignant scenes where Maddie has a heart-to-heart moment with a young Aboriginal Australian girl. The film has a stellar cast including the voices of Angelina Jolie, Sam Rockwell, Helen Mirren, Danny DeVito, Ron Funches, and Chaka Khan. Rupert Gregson-Williams' bubbly score and a handful of the original songs from the film can be found the in soundtrack album for Back to the Outback which was released alongside the film.

With bright and vibrant colors, the animation is sure to capture the attention of children from the start. This time the story takes place in Australia as a group of dangerous animals escape captivity and try desperately to get back to, you guesses it, the outback. The premise might be very reminiscent of movies like Madagascar and The Wild where domesticated zoo animals liberate themselves, but Outback has an unexpectedly resonant setup that sets it apart from the aforementioned movies. Netflix's newest animated film, Back to the Outback, offers a fantastic story that is great for the whole family. While even the unexpected twist started as a joke, I admire how Cripps managed to further it for emotional resonance. Keith Urban as Doug, a cane toad. Back To The Outback really does do a good job of pushing that lesson. Aislinn Derbez as Legs, a redback spider. The central voice cast is of Australian descent much like their characters, and they all bring fun performances. There are no twists and turns, or surprises, that will shock the adults watching, although younger kids might be on the edge of their seats every now and then. The whole family can enjoy what the steamer offers for family entertainment. A brand new multi-million dollar animated movie set to celebrate Australia will feature the voices of some of the country's biggest stars.
It's just weird how, in a movie about animals, the main standouts were the humans. As well as the film's licensed songs, Back to the Outback also features a cinematic score courtesy of composer Rupert Gregson-Williams. Kylie Minogue as Susan, a bushpig. He has been married to Nicole Kidman since 2006 and they have more children. The vocal performances really register, from Clarkson's life-force ebullience to Shelton's saddened drawl to Pitbull's street bravura.

When the story is not bridging representation of all kinds, it homages some of the most prolific movies to come from Australia. It felt a bit educational at times but allows for children to learn about these fascinating creatures in a fun way. It really drives home the point they are trying to make, but I try to teach my children that nothing is ugly, and that it is a horrible word to use. As the animal fugitives liberate themselves and inadvertently take a self-obsessed Koala named Pretty Boy with them, the film becomes a beautiful celebration of Australia. But will spending all of his time with these animals that have been feared all their lives change him? That being said, the meaning of this is to teach kids that it is what is on the inside that is important, so I suppose I will let it slide.
From Hollywood to their homeland! They make an escape to return to their homes in the outback, but they are pursued by the zookeeper, Chaz, and his mini-me son, Chazzie. Apart from him, the humor aims for the constant gross-out gags that might fly for kids, but parents will be rolling their eyes. Yeah, they put Black Australian representation in this and it even ends with land acknowledgment. He shared a clip of the scene where other characters find him belting out "When a Man Loves a Woman". The movie guides you through landmark cities like Sydney and Melbourne via the animals' perspectives and the filmmakers get to play with scale in those scenes. There aren't many animated movies outside of The Rescuers Down Under and Finding Nemo that explore the continent of Australia.
If children are completely entertained for ninety minutes, the movie does its job.
