I don't know why you think that PACE is easier for the average intellectually engaged high school freshman than ACF Nats is for the average intellectually engaged college freshman. I'm not sure how I can provide evidence for this, other than the fact that I'm already pretty involved with the program of the school that I'm most likely to attend and have planned on playing quizbowl in college for some time.
