Lora Velma BUTTS, daughter of Oscar Adair GUTHRIE and Cora Anice FORD GUTHRIE was born February 23, 1904 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, [Indian Territory] and departed this life to be with her Lord on September 6, 1998 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 13 days. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church when her health allowed. He is survived by: two sons, Jesse, Jr. of Okla., and Curtis of N. ; three daughters, Kathy of Okla., Dorothy of Mo., and Linda Sue of N. ; his mother Sallie of Okla. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Dallas, Texas, under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home. She was a dairy farmer for 27 years.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Alex and Susie DOWNING; one brother, Clem DOWNING; and one sister Nina BOLES. Olaf PUCKETT officiating. Katie was a retired waitress and was of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dallas, Dean and Thel FLANAGAN; and a great-grandson, Alexander JASER. He was employed by B L Montague for 32 years. Margaret married L. "Buck" BAKER, and from this union were born three children: Ed, James and one infant that died at birth. She greatly loved her family and her wonderful church family at Zion Hill. The 1999 Drexel Community Fair was dedicated to him by the board. Army in Germany and was discharged in 1971. The Mundwiler Funeral Home of Milbank, S. D., was in charge of the arrangements. She is survived by one daughter, Rosa of Okla. ; two sons, John of Mo., and Robert of Okla. ; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Brian Mackey, Ryan Cooper, J. Hart, Kelly Cooper, Robert Hart, Ken Cooper, Merle Jones and Sam Hart. She was married to Howard DRAKE who preceded her in death on March 18, 1987. Mrs. KOCHER was born Aug. 25, 1940 in Tahlequah, Okla., the daughter of George Sr. and Nancy BREEDEN HOOPER, and she died May 19 in Oklahoma City.

She is survived by: one son, Julius, Jr. of Colo. ; one daughter Barbara of N. ; one grandson, Douglas of N. ; one graddaughter, Mary of Ariz. ; and by four sisters, Ruth and Dora of Okla., Christine of Texas and Gladys of N. M. Committal services were held Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, N. under the direction of Berardnelli Mortuary, Inc., of Santa Fe. Following a private family service, interment will be at Belleview Cemetery alongside her beloved family members. Billy is survived by his sister, Donna Lee Perham of Vermont; nephews, Arthur Perham, Tony Perham and his wife, Abby, and Eric Perham, all of Vermont and Dominic Perham and his wife, Sandra, of Morganton; and a close friend, John Ernst of Minnesota. Although Mary never had any children of her own, she took Tye's children and grandchildren, loved and raised them as her own. Burial will follow in the Chapman Cemetery. Leon Brashear and Bro. Army veteran, serving his country during World War 11. He took schooling on how to be a telephone technician and worked for Tri-Tel and then became self-employed for many years. Before moving to Wanaque, she lived in Winston Salem, from 1965-75. She was married to Woodrow FEATHER on Jan. 12, 1974 in Stilwell. She is also survived by her sisters, Velma, Isabelle and Bobbie Jean; a brother, January.
Atha Christine NOLAN, daughter of Harve MALOY and Jessie FOSTER MALOY, was born April 23, 1931 in Bunch, Okla., and departed this life into eternity on May 11, 1998 at her home in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 67 years and 18 days. Smith, Muriel Rosalia Mull. She served as school secretary in Watts and Grandview Schools before retiring. He was born April 27, 1979, in Burke County, and was the son of William Wallace Digh Jr and Rebecca Chapman Osborne, both of Morganton. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Tom McDonald officiating. He is preceded in death by both parents, one brother and two sisters. Bissie VANN, daughter of Jesse BYRD and Sissie MITCHELL BYRD was born Oct. 30, 1910, in Chewey, Okla., and departed this life to be with her Lord on Nov. 10, 1998, at Grace Living Center in Tahlequah, at the age of 88 years and 10 days. She was also supervisor of the Vineyard Township Voting Precinct. Mrs. GUTHRIE is survived by two sons, Gary and Darrell; two brothers, Eddie and Louie; one sister Emma; her stepmother, Ruby, all of Okla. ; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
