Whats Neat With Ken Patterson
John Young, Dave Zelisse, Jeff Fryman and Al Robertson have all put considerable work into structures on the Alcoa switching area and begun paving the access roads. It is always a bummer when I see another recognizable hobby store closing or not doing well. Up next, readying for an operations weekend event in mid-November! When they were closing out there store called them about an item, the owner was the one who answere the phone great fellow very nice to deal with. Note: I have before used liquid nails for projects adhesive on foam, it did work satisfactorily enough for gentle shaping. We were absolutely delighted with the warm reception that our crazy idea received. The future: Dead Rail Society. The shop that was still close to downtown was Caboose Hobbies, a different model train shop with a different owner with a different website and way of doing business. I never was able to visit the original Caboose Hobbies. They all work well, with no problems. Layer lines were eliminated by priming and sanding. Convention and RPM meet. Caboose hobbies in denver is on it's death bed. We moved to Denver in. So now when you have a short in one area of the layout, you know what section to troubleshoot. They have the Buy It Now and make offer selections, but refuse to budge on the price. Railroad: Milwaukee Road. During the week leading up to the Labor Day weekend, and during the weekend itself, the layout was put back up on its feet, preparatory to resuming operation in Saline.

I will take some pics of what I have and post them up soon. The caboose painting project continues. Painted and weathered by the client, it was delivered built-up with a coat of primer. One of Mr Rubles recent appearances on the KP. Decoders we used to drive the very bright LEDs that David Pickell. The wife got me a Caboose gift card earlier this year and i quickly redeemed it fearful i would lose out if they went under before I made it in! About three years ago we stopped at the new store and were very disappointed with service, stock and variety plus high prices. The Operations Road Show layout is participating in the Southeast Michigan Ops operating event, May 16-19, 2019.

Layouts cover an area from Macomb County west to Lansing, with layouts as far south as Blissfield. Produced from client supplied SP mechanical drawings, this portal has been added to the ZYX Creative product line. The former was sometimes worth it. This section of the site is updated periodically to report on the progress we have.
A real shame for the model railroad community and the Denver area model railroad market. With finishing up layout improvements and packing up, taking the layout to a Convention consumes the vast majority of our hobby time for a summer. Without Jack, there would have been no Operations Road Show-- the way we operate our railroad is directly based on what Jack did on the AGE. We have lots of new tips and tricks in this issue to add to your model railroading pleasure. He does some internet. Work sessions have resumed, with a focus on increasing the number of trees on the layout and sorting through the freight cars that we think are in excess of what we need to run the layout. I wish them the best and hopefully they find a way to revamp the company in a positive way. Railroad: Denver & Rio Grande Western. To my delight they relocated to a nearby suburb of Denver, which cut my travel distance by three-quarters.
