Smoking Boyz - Light Wait Champ
This is one of those tobacco's that you just open the jar for a whiff even when you don't want to smoke it. B&M stores i have gotten loads of other Esoterica blends always say we didn't get any Penzance this shipment. And I do mean pineapples. Although it's not MY number one tobacco, I am sure it will be to many. Almost takes you back to simpler times.. Smoking boyz - light wait champ 2. and it is, so far, one of the most "tasty" tobaccos I've ever had, after smoking it, I don't feel like brushing my teeth, instead I want to savor how good it is!

My only regret is that I had waited so long to try this delightful blend. Smoking a bowl of this now, the wife literally just said " I wanna Lysol you so bad, that smells terrible. " The absence of sweetness in the scent was promising to me. I can't think of another English blend that has such a strong underpinning of delicious Virginias. Then, the final two are forced to make a pie that's "out of the pizza box" because pizza dough is suddenly out of stock! Smoking boyz - light wait champ de. This was a blend I hoped was all hype, as it is hart to come by but it is as good as they say, perhaps better. This is a nice, full bodied blend very similar to Smokers Haven Krumble Kake and both are made by Germain so there ya go.
This stuff is really in a class of its own I think. Very smooth, very deep and very latakia. I gave it a good whiff and was put off even more so by its aroma. I like smoking flakes, and these fall apart before they can be pushed into the pipe.
Chrome in FLA (2)||. I like EMP (older version), and Piccadilly. First I wanted to fill in the gaps from my original review: Upon originally opening the tin and noticing the "Iodine" smell and taste( see original review above), I proceeded to spread the tobacco out on the table to see if I could air the Iodine out of the tobacco. The aroma will repel mosquitoes, birds, dogs, bears and of course your wife. Pairs well with an Islay single malt. Sadly, this will not make it into my rotation for now. But not the best English Blend made. Initially on light up, you can taste the different varieties of tobacco used but, after that it does settle a bit and the tobaccos seem to work well with each other. I ended up landing on Olives. Now I know why it's so hard to hunt down, it's good, really good. Smoking boyz - light wait champ 7. I can't put my finger on the flavor exactly, most English blends taste like campfire, but I found this one to give me more of an impression of old worn leather, like a leather belt that has been worn every day for years. The most heavenly and luscious "Liquid Latakia Cream"available to discriminating smokers everywhere. What wonderful stuff this is.

Pipe Used: Dublin Briar, 3 MM. I particularly like to relight because this blend puts out enormous clouds of beautiful blue a nice white ash all the way down to the dottle. Why would you subject yourself to this? I may end up with a few smokes to rotate between after all. Since then I have taken the time to relax and enjoy what is certainly one of the best pipe tobaccos "available". With so many widely available better tasting English blends available i just dont get the hype.
Pipe Used: Straight and bent pots. Nothing else like it.. ||Medium||Medium||Full||Tolerable to Strong|. It is complex deep, sweet and heavy: well-rounded and spicy as fine Australian red wine. Broken down nicely and had to be careful not to pack too tightly.

The tin presentation is nice. You've guided me (More often than not! ) Great for celebrating those special events in life! Pipe Used: Savinelli dry system #2622. And I found her and rescued her from the darkness. I guess this is the result of the cut. Moontigers remind me of summers long gone.
It is NOT tobacco of the gods. I have to compare it to my other favorite Latakia blend, My Mixture 965 by Dunhill. J. Germain have produced an excellent tobacco and simply won't market it fairly even in the USA. After all these, I'd recommend to smoke it dry (as dry as you can) with filter and packed medium (not loose nor tight). Usually I go through different review components, but there is not much more that can be said about this really good tobacco. 32 for each eight oz. The latakia and the orientals mix smoothly and the virgina gives just enough of a kick to keep this blend exciting. That is how I came upon a pound of this. Penzance, and other latakia or blends with a subtle complexity to them just suck in a corn cob IMO. The reason: according to some this blend stales and loses essence quickly. Another Thing ThIS WEB Site Will Not Let Us Say The Tobacco Shop That They Are In BED With ~ They Don't Want To Lose Any FKen Business. I really wanted this to be like a Tulip craze, a complete bubble of speculation with no substance, but then I got some, smelled it, packed and smoked it. It smells and tastes delicious - this tobacco that is, though the same is true of beef jerky. I am finishing first "tin-full" of that bag-10 months later.
It's hard to light this puppy up for the first time without having high expectations, given how much buzz it gets. The Orientals winked at me, but not very often and the VAs seemed to be lost. The main thing I took from this late night rendezvous was that I was surprised to learn that Penzance is not a latakia bomb, which for some reason I always thought it was. It was no where to be found, but EVERYONE was saying how great it was. If there is one characteristic of this tobacco that is fussy, its the fact that it doesn't react well to heavy hands and will only partially reward you if you don't treat it accordingly. UPDATE 1-29-14: Completely off my radar now and there are lots of great tobaccos out there. No more, Penzance is my new bench mark. It's a truly amazing smoke—smooth, smokey, bacony, not your usual English blend, that's for sure. I think it's the best from Esoterica, smooth, smoky, earthy, savory and dry -- a true medium English that's mild to medium in nicotine. I must say this is a tastey well balanced and neatly to rubout and to a smoke for my every day smoke but nice for late evening. So, I will just go on the record as saying this is one of the finest tobaccos I have smoked. Over all i highly recomend this tobacco at least just to try. It's not very complex, since it doesn't change its taste much during the smoke, but the flavors it delivers are top quality.
