I loved how important the themes were in this book. Asher is presented as a hockey star, but other than the odd mention of him going to practice or his teammates there isn't much to convince readers that hockey matters. This book gave me the same feelings as "Nineteen Minutes" and "My Sister's Keeper" because it was able to create such intense events with a lot of heart and soul. Who killed lily in wisconsin. After that, Olivia's story goes forward with her son being questioned by the police and eventually being accused of murder. I think all of that information was an EXCELLENT addition to this story!

And that's what I mean about it being twice as much work, because honestly, when I read the book now, it is hard for me to remember what phrase was mine and what phrase was Jenny's. What happens next for Olivia, Asher and Ava (Lily's mom)? And when you mention her, I get such a warm feeling. But the novel also chronicles Asher and Lily's relationship, as well as Olivia's terrible marriage.
Privately, Olivia wonders whether Asher has inherited some of his father's rage. To write without a game plan I think would've been much more difficult. Flashback to Lily's POV. Slowly, she carves out a connection with a local family when a teenager with a secret opens up to Diana, despite her father's suspicion of outsiders. "I don't want readers to take anything away. I believe that Asher thought he loved Lily, but did he really? I cannot give enough praise for this beautifully written book. I devoured this book. And it makes the bees kind of lazy and zones them out.
