If you have a trigger operated air chuck that you can clamp on to the valve stem, then squeeze the trigger (so you can stand fairly clear of the tire) that'd be best. I had to make a device that allowed me to blast air into the tire fast with out the valve stem core in. I had a Maxxis that had a damaged kevlar bead. However I did manage to get one to seat after wrestling with it for too many hours. I used tire grease fairly liberally for mounting but a couple tires didn't quite seat all the way on to the wheel. The tube is just sammiched in there. With just a few simple tips it can certainly be on the easier side of the spectrum. I look at the edge of the tire seating with the rim and it def looks like certain points of the tire are deeper into the rim than others. FWIW, I have seen a tire having a small nodule of extra rubber sometimes... maybe this is another case of that... Aaarg!

I guess I'll just keep trying, what do you guys use for lube? I wire brushed the rims prior to installing the new tires. I'm mounting a new rear tire and can't get one of the beads to set (pop). Placed 2x4's inside the tire to spread the bead prior to mounting. Use a hand pump or an air compressor to slowly inflate the tire until the bead seats. The CLX's are good up to 130psi, and, if I'm being honest, my pump is not exactly accurate... 120 is more like 110. This seats both beads and you then remove the tube, mount the unseated side (adding sealant if pouring in), and with one side fully seated it is much easier to seat just one. The downsides with a dedicated tubeless cannister start with the fact that it is a dedicated piece of $50-$150 kit that isn't capable of doing much else. I just setup the rear wheel tubeless.
