To have all of them come together as a united source – that is really cool to me – because we're all here for the same reason: to create safe places and stable families for our kids. Show Hope launched its Empowered to Connect Conference in 2010 with the aim of equipping parents, caregivers, ministry leaders, and care professionals to better serve children impacted by adoption and foster care. We will break up the content over 5 Sunday nights. Additionally, to provide greater flexibility for hosts to tailor the conference to meet needs in their community, the Hope for the Journey Conference will be modular in nature. Formerly known as the Empowered to Connect Conference, Hope for the Journey is designed to encourage and equip parents and caregivers who are meeting the everyday needs of children impacted by adoption and/or foster care. Insight as well as everyday, hopeful wisdom—designed for parents and caregivers meeting the. Hope for the Journey (HFTJ) is an annual conference based on the Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Model, an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. Also, this conference is intended for age 18+. These additions will help parents and caregivers take these concepts and turn them into hands-on and ready to use tools.
Location: Crosstown Church. This conference highlights the methods used in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), an approach designed to meet the needs of children impacted by adoption and/or foster care. May 7th | 8:30am-4pm. Registration does include a printed and/or PDF version of conference handouts as well as access to our community conversations after each module and at the end of the conference. The Hope for the Journey Conference is a one-day conference led by the TCU Institute for Child Development for anyone who helps children from hard places find a better life.
