I had a shop the hose and had them make me a flex-o-lite like black line. On this set up my feed comes out of thank to rubber line. This is if you want 58 psi base pressure, if you want 65 psi or so its fine. Working with two pumps of equal size is both desirable, and easy to project performance. I needed to make sure it would run so i could get to work. If I could run a stocker though, I'd definately go that route rather than mess with things.
