I didn't like the slow pacing, and this story hit a few of my major pet peeves (timing that doesn't make sense, and no ending being the big ones). It was clad in a gauzy shroud, and had a pale face that resembled a white hockey mask, only with a long nose and crowned with large, triangular ears. An apocalyptic book of fire and brimstone and mysterious symbols and destruction. But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Maybe the fact that we mostly focus on the destruction in Revelation says more about us than it does about God. For me, it opens up a whole wide range of new categories. It was almost as if we were supposed to have read the novels mentioned in the book, so we should know what the world is like.
